Bobst, a leading player in the printing industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Italy. As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance our printing processes and improve overall efficiency.

Your responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for various printing systems, including printing presses, HMI and equipment commissioning systems.
• Optimize existing software solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to printing and software development.

Your qualifications:
• Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Mathematical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, ideally in industrial context.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python. Good knowledge of OO design and of SOLID and GRASP principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills and fluent in English.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI systems and communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Ethernet/IP), as well as of printing processes and technologies is a plus.
